Objective

Broad Objective To equip the potential development thinkers and practitioners with ample erudition and skills aiming to facilitate the country’s development. Specific Objectives • To create an academic environment that would enhance the higher-degree skills of the graduates to create meaningful impact in the development sector. • To provide real life exposure to development practices through field trips, day visits, bringing guest lecturers in order to expose the graduates to the reality of development sector in order to prepare them to meet the ‘human capital need’ of the transitioning development sector. • To produce new knowledge and create a distinct thought school through research to further guide and direct the growth of Bangladesh.

Mission

Provide students a social, economic and political understanding with a blending of knowledge and perspectives from political science, economics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, geography, history, resource and environmental science which creates an interdisciplinary approach with belief that no single discipline can prepare students in the depth and breadth necessary for a complex and reflective understanding of history and contemporary issues locally and globally.
