Objective

• Allow students precisely compare different administrative systems and public management practices in different contexts and countries including major trends in public management reforms, major factors that drive changes or planned reform efforts. • Analyze development administration both as a concept and in practice within the socio- economic, political and resource contexts of a given society. • Understand and contribute to public policy, critically analyze policies, programs, problems, and issues and finally make pertinent recommendations. • Talk and debate on institutionalization of public institutions and state building and eventually identify challenges and opportunities in the functioning of major public institutions. • Enable to design their own research, understand the research process in general, and interpret research studies undertaken by others and tools and techniques of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method research. • Promote an understanding of the diversity and complexity of challenges in the fields of entrepreneurship development as well as corporate governance and to encourage critical thinking about the construction of effective management responses and strategies.

Mission

The program stresses the acquisition of academic theory and practical skills to foster an ethical and enduring commitment to the public service values of serving the public interest with accountability and transparency; serving professionally with competence, efficiency, and objectivity; acting ethically to uphold the public trust; and demonstrating respect, equity, and fairness in dealings with the public and fellow workers.

Vision

The Master of Public Administration Program addresses public service in an integrated manner. We prepare the next generation of public service leaders who administer domestic and international, governmental, non-profit, environmental, and any other organizations with professional and disciplinary expertise.
